Sherry Ruth Schlager (nee Hochscheid), the daughter of the late Edward and Ruth (nee Fernbach) Hochscheid; beloved wife of the late Lawrence "Bill" Schlager; loving mother of Jody (Todd) Rivera of Harrison, Ohio, and the late Connie Jean Gaiser Harper (the late Billy Harper); dear caring and loving grandmother of Lucas (Jordan), Jacob (Paris), and Rachel Rivera of Harrison, Ohio, and Sara V. Cunningham of Atlanta, Georgia; step-grandchildren, Jennifer and Dana of Nashville, Georgia, also great granddaughter Leila Wolf, and six step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Fineran of Woodbury, Georgia, and the late Joyce Hochscheid Peters; survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Special relative/friend of Joann and Ken Cunningham of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Sherry passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the age of 91, in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was a member of the Colerain High School graduating class of 1952 and attended all 12 education years at Colerain schools. She was a member of the Colerain Cardinals 4-H Club during her high school years, and after high school, she attended business school in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

Sherry was a Hamilton County 4-H Saddle Club advisor/leader for five years during her adult life. She loved the outdoors, riding horses, and growing up on the family's dairy farm in Colerain Township. Her elderly years were spent gardening, reading/writing, traveling, music concerts, her family events, and she loved attending church and listening to church organ music. Sherry was a member of the High School 1952 "Get-Together Group," the Women's Association of the First Presbyterian Church in Harrison, the Harrison Senior Center.

A visitation will be held for Sherry on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m., at the First Presbyterian Church located at 115 South Vine Street in Harrison, Ohio 45030, with Rev. Dr. Joshua Long officiating. A burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati, Ohio. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church of Mt. Healthy, 1553 Kinney Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231, for Lutheran World Relief Projects of which Sherry was a member for 20 years and First Presbyterian Church in Harrison.
