Sherry Sowards Obituary
Sherry Diane Sowards, age 76, of Avilla, Indiana, passed away November 19, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Sherry was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on March 17, 1947 to the late Ora G. and Mary K. (Traughber) Davis. Sherry was always the life of the party! An avid gardener and NASCAR fan. She loved to fish and be on the lake. Every Christmas the grandkids would look forward to their big box of assorted homemade cookies made special by Grandma! She was loved by many!
Survivors include:
Son, Jim (Terri) Sowards of Wolcottville, Indiana.
Son, Shane (Jennifer) Sowards of Angola, Indiana.
Sister, Charlene Rugg of Albion, Indiana.
Brother, Terry (Freda) Davis of Hudson, Indiana.
11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by her parents Ora and Mary (Traughber) Davis, brother-in-law Russell Rugg.
