Sherry Marie Wilson, AKA(Kobra) age 58, of
Greeley, Colorado, passed away at her home on February 26, 2026. Born on September 25, 1967, in
Waterloo, Iowa, Sherry was the beloved daughter of Patricia A. Knode (Glaspie). At the age of five, Sherry relocated with her family to
Greeley, Colorado, where she would begin a life marked by compassion, resilience, and service to others.
As a young adult, Sherry moved to Aurora, Colorado, at age 18. She began her working life at Wendy's before discovering her passion for childcare. Dedicating many years as a childcare director, Sherry's nurturing spirit and commitment to children's well-being left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Never one to shy away from new challenges, Sherry later pursued a career in healthcare, becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and, with hard work and determination, went on to earn her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification. Her dedication led her to become second in command at a Home Health Care company, where she continued to touch the lives of countless clients with her gentle care. During her time with the company, Sherry also founded a food bank, further exemplifying her selfless nature and desire to help those in need.
Sherry's life was not without adversity. She courageously endured four strokes and underwent open-heart surgery to repair two valves. The strokes brought significant neurological challenges, requiring her to relearn how to walk and talk. Despite memory loss and ongoing health struggles, Sherry met each day with perseverance, striving to live as fully as possible and never losing her hope or spirit, even as she faced numerous doctor visits and the discovery of a hole in her heart. She experienced both good days and bad but always found the strength to continue.
Outside of her professional and medical challenges, Sherry cherished time spent with her family and friends. She found joy riding her motorcycle and was a proud member of a biker club, where she earned her name Kobra, and enjoyed making annual trips to Sturgis for several years. Her adventurous spirit took her traveling to Washington state, New Mexico, South Dakota, and many other places, including cherished visits back to Iowa to reconnect with family.
Sherry is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Wilson of
Greeley, Colorado; her son, Cameron Little of Aurora, Colorado; her brother, Charles McGinley of Aurora, Colorado; Sarah Walker of Evans, Colorado; and her sister-in-law, Susan McGinley (wife of Christopher). She was preceded in death by her son Corry Little, her mother Patricia Knode, her twin brother Corry McGinley, and her brother Christopher McGinley.
Her life will be honored and remembered at a service to be held at Northern Colorado Crematory on Monday, March 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
Sherry's kindness, determination, and unwavering love for her family and community will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
