Sherwood M. Avery, Jr., sunrise 11-08-1940 to sunset 7-18-2021.
Sherwood was born to Sherwood M. Sr. and Charlotte Avery.
Sherwood was a son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle. His family was everything to him. He was a big WWE fan and loved working on cars. He also loved different movies and tv shows. He was independent and always there for anyone. He never judged anyone and always gave everyone a chance. Sherwood was also well known around Manchester. Everyone called him dad or paepae, never by his name. He was well loved and will be greatly missed.
He was predeceased by the love of his life Shirley Avery of 50 plus years, his two sons Sherwood "Dodo” Avery and Alfred Avery, his brothers Ronald, George, Richard and Normen and his sister Norma.
He leaves behind his daughter Julie Frost and his sisters Florence and Beverly, his grandchildren; Tonya, Tammy and her husband Brian, Tasha and her husband Isaias, Sherwood, DJ, Amanda, Felicia, Gabby and Kaitlyn and his great grandchildren; Tyson, Ashley, Taytana, Bryanna, Wanda, Aldiana, Gabby, Adin, Ryal-Amira, Gage, Xander, Alfred, James and Alice. He also leaves behind many sisters, brothers, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Paepae, we love you and miss you more than you can think of.
