Sheryl Ritchie Obituary

Published by Cabot & Sons Funeral Home on May 12, 2013.
Sheryl Lynn Ritchie was born in Pasadena, CA on July 17, 1966. She graduated from Pasadena High School in 1984 and was one of the Rose Princesses on the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Court. Sheryl went on to study at the University of Southern California, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance & Real Estate. Sheryl's career focus was in Accounting, where she held management positions for well known companies, such as Disney and ADP. She married the love of her life and best friend in June 1991 and this year they would have celebrated 22 years of marriage. She gave birth to a beautiful daughter in October 2001 and decided to spend her time as a devoted mom. Sheryl enjoyed taking family vacations where it involved beach like settings, these destinations include, Hawaii, Catalina Island and Cambria. Sheryl was an extreme pet lover, she was known for picking up strays and immediately making them part of her family. Despite all the challenges Sheryl faced these past four years, she never wavered on her commitment to fight and be here for her daughter and family. Sheryl had a massive support system from her "Warriors in LaVerne" to her "Sisters in Pasadena", which made her fight to live that much stronger. Sheryl had a larger than life personality, she deeply touched and inspired those who crossed her path. Sheryl is survived by her husband, Bret, her son, Brad, her daughter, Sarah, her parents, Linda & Ezequiel, her brother, Robert and her sister, Christine. Funeral Mass Friday, May 17, 1:00 p.m. at Assumption Church 2640 E. Orange Grove Blvd, Pasadena
