Shirlee Marie Granillo

Shirlee Marie Granillo was born in St. Joe Missouri to Mary and Edward Davis. She was a whopping 12 lbs.

Shirlee felt that every time you plant something, it helps you get into heaven. She had an amazing green thumb and she was happy to give you a cutting if you were interested. She had the mind of a beautiful artist and was often working on projects. She created stained glass pieces, ro2ck walls and pathways, and painted End of the Trail images from her cactus garden. She was a rock hound like her mother Mary and enjoyed finding Apache Tears in Superior, Arizona her whole life.

She was widowed at 27 and then raised her two children on her own while taking care of 3 acres with the many trees she planted and a garden hose. She was best known for her hospitality, humor, and generosity. She was always happy to share a meal, tell a joke, and help you without judgement. She was one of a kind. Her beauty was compared to Elizabeth Taylor in her youth, due to her beautiful green eyes and long eyelashes. She loved little children, and was often bringing them a surprise to brighten their day. At the end of her life, she had her family racking their brains about the names of all of her pets as she said that they cannot get into heaven with her if she can't remember their names, including her pet dogs, horses, skunk, and monkey.

Shirlee leaves behind many to treasure her memory, including her treasured grandson Elijah and son Joey and daughter Shona. She is also mourned by her sisters Millee and Debbie. She had handsome nephews and beautiful nieces as well as many wonderful friends and supportive family members who will cherish her memory and mourn the great loss of her passing.

She couldn't be missed more by all those who had the great blessing to know her. In Shirlee's honor: Go out and plant something, bring your loved ones a surprise from the store, sit up straight, don't be acting spoiled, collect something beautiful, dress in clothes that flatter you-not just for comfort, if you talk trashy-people will think you are trash-so cool it with the F word, and make effort.
