Shirlee Ruggie

Shirlee was a wonderful, gracious and welcoming woman. My wife, Joanne, and I have been her neighbors on Vestavia Drive at VGCC since 2018. When we first bought our home, Shirlee was the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. She told us the stories about the neighborhood parties where the Ruggie´s and the Breault´s (previous owners of our home) would have a `Dueling Piano´s´ event - both front doors open an the husbands each playing their piano music back an forth. Wish we could have been there to see/hear that.

We saw her at every Vestavia pool party and frequently at the clubhouse having lunch or dinner.

A beautiful lady who will be missed.

Feel fortunate that our paths crossed through golf and bridge. We shared a common beginning in New Jersey too.
