Shirley Barodte Obituary
Shirley was born on May 19, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles and Clara (Huber) Krist. Shirley enjoyed gardening flowers as well as tending a vegetable garden. She loved the Lord and was full of faith. Shirley also was very artistic; crafting, painting and doing ceramics. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who will be deeply missed.
Beloved mother of Rodney (Mary) Barodte, Debbie Barodte, Bradley Barodte and the late Robin Barodte; loving grandmother of Heather (Scott), Hollie (Adam), Heidi (Bill), Rodney (Alisha), Carie, Carl (Kim), the late Larry, Jessica and Kevin; adored great-grandmother of 13; and cherished sister of the late Lorraine Lewis, the late Larry and the late Charles.
A visitation for Shirley will be Friday, January 30, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. funeral service at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 22915 Greater Mack Avenue, St. Clair Shores. Burial will be immediately following at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
