Shirley Bobo Obituary
Shirley Runette Hamby Bobo, 87, of Macon, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. A funeral service will be held, to celebrate her life, on Monday, October 27, 2024, 11:00 AM at FairHaven Funeral Home, with Chaplain, Lisa Johnson officiating. The family invites friends to join them for a time of visitation one hour prior to service time; immediately following services Mrs. Bobo will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Bobo was born on February 14, 1938, in Thomaston, Georgia to the late, Mr. Ernest Hamby and Mrs. Mary Hamby. She was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and was a member of the Ruth Sunday School Class. Mrs. Bobo retired from Riverwood after 20 years of service, where she worked in the warehouse. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. Her love for them knew no bounds, she found happiness in every moment spent together, from simple daily conversations to cherished family gatherings. Mrs. Bobo's nurturing spirit, gentle guidance, and unwavering devotion created a foundation of love and unity that will forever live on in the hearts of those she so deeply cherished.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bobo was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Richard H. Bobo; daughter, Rhonda Bobo Jones; son, Ricky Page; son in law, Jimmy Jackson; great-granddaughter, Madison Page; siblings, Evangeline Boyt, Bobby Hamby, Benny Hamby, James Hamby and his wife Shirley, Earnest Hamby, Jr. and his wife Earlene, Donnie and his wife Pearl; and brothers in law, Larry Fordham and Perry Harris.
Left to cherish Mrs. Bobo's memory are her children, Jerri Jackson and Richard Bobo; daughter in law, Jackie Page; a very special family friend that she considered a daughter, Jamie Harrison; grandchildren, Autumn Filush, Ashley Bishop (Chip), Garrett Page, Coty Jones (Sarah), and Christopher Bobo (Lauren); 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel James, Ernestine Fordham, Elizabeth Harris, and Diane Hamby; brother in law, Gordon Boyt; and several nieces and nephews.
