Shirley Ann Bradner

Shirley Ann Frier Bradner, 81, of Eustis, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on November 4, 1943, in Lake Park, Georgia, Shirley was the beloved daughter of the late Annie Mitchell Frier and Samuel Burie Frier. Shirley's life was one of faith, family, and song. She had a deep love for praising the Lord through music and was a cherished member of New Life Baptist Church, where her voice and joyful spirit touched many hearts. She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Joe Bradner, and their children: Joseph (Tom) Bradner and wife Diana, William (Bill) Williard and wife Carol, Teresa Simmons and husband Dean, and Michael (Mike) Bradner and wife Kyle. Shirley was a proud grandmother to Jaime Bradner, Joey Bradner, William Williard II, Todd Brooks, Dean Simmons II (Brooke), Austin Simmons (Aubrey), Michael Bradner II (Caitie), Steven Bradner (Ashley), and Dylan Bradner (Maria), Lyndsey Coyle and James Coyle, and a loving great-grandmother to thirteen great-grandchildren who were the light of her world. She also leaves behind her siblings: Brenda Crossett (Jody), Clell Wayne Bailey, (Janna) and James Elmer Bailey. Close family members Joseph Crossett, Lacy Myers (Charlie), Joyce Randall, and Bennie Bradner (Mildred), along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, her beloved church family, and dear friends. Shirley's happiest moments were spent surrounded by her large family, singing hymns, tending to her colorful flower garden, and caring for her chickens. She was known for her warm smile, generous heart, and the way she made everyone feel like family. She was preceded in death by her parents and now rests peacefully in their embrace. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, under the care of Beyers Funeral Home. She will be celebrated at New Life Baptist Church 10035 Poe St. Leesburg, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and rejoice in the hope of reunion in Heaven.
