Shirley Estelle Clark, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.
She was born on June 5, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan. She married her love, James Owen Clark, who preceded her in death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Dorothy LaCost of Holly, Michigan.
James and Shirley made their home in Davisburg, Michigan, later in Ortonville, Michigan, and more recently in Winchester, Tennessee. She retired from the Genesee Intermediate School District in Flint, Michigan, following many years of dedicated service.
Shirley was the devoted mother of Jeff Clark (Michelle) of Prudenville, Michigan; Mark Clark of Nashville, Tennessee; and Kris Pruett (Rodney) of Alpine, Alabama.
She was the loving grandmother of Jacob Clark, Brittany (Tanner) Burkhardt, Maegan (Cory) Fias, Dillan Clark, James Thomas “JT” Clark, Jack Clark, Samantha Pruett, and Logan (Sarah) Pruett, and the great-grandmother of Graham Burkhardt and Pierce Fias.
She is also survived by her brother-in-law, John Clark of Holly, Michigan, and her sister-in-law, Mary Jo Clark of Grand Blanc, Michigan.
Shirley will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
