Shirley Ann Franich passed away on November 9th, 2025, at the age of 88. She retired from NMSU after 48 years of service. She loved her job and enjoyed interaction with students.
She lived at Desert Peaks Assisted Living for the past 12 years of her life after a stroke that left her partially paralyzed. She was the bingo champ and won many prizes which were right up her alley, being a collector of many things. She always participated in many activities and loved listening to music. Shirley was a member of the Beta Sigma Fi Sorority for 50 plus years.
Shirley is survived by her son Ray Franich (Carol) Daughter Laurie Mullins (Bunk) Grandchildren Shane Franich, Christopher Franich (Mindy) Byron Mullins (Megan), Kyle Mullins, Chris Paz (Jessie) Nikki Kocsis (Tibor) sister Ethel May Peeples.
Preceded in death by father Gil Gilbert, mother Ethel E Gilbert, husband Don Franich, sister Eileen McCament.
Cremation will take place, and services will be held at a future date.
