we are so sorry for your loss. Shirley seemed to always smile and laugh even when you knew she wasn't feeling well. she will be missed. the relationship you have will keep her close to you. in every conversation and special event of your lives you'll know exactly what she would say. when you've known and loved someone for a lifetime that's the gift they leave behind until you meet again. we love you and please let us know if there is anything we can do for you and the family. love, Beverly and "Debbie Sue"

Dear Nancy and family,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. I just found out, I am very sad I missed the service- I want so badly to give you all a hug!! I love your Mom and whole family, I have so many childhood memories from Anoka Road, 51+ years- from the day our moms had beautiful baby girls on the same day at Richmond Memorial Hospital! I pray for peace and comfort for your family, love to all, and know you will have wonderful memories to treasure.

I enjoyed looking through the photos... I was one of the home nurses, and am glad I had a chance to know Ms Gotschalk.. She always had a smile and a bit of mischief about her. I was saddened to hear of her passing. Laura Feldman

Shirley surely made a lasting impression on people including myself. I was the nurse in the pulmonary office and although I have been retired 11 years now, I still remember her smile and talkative conversations. She is remembered among many. Bless each member of her family and may your memories live on with smiles in your heart.

Shirley will certainly be missed by all her family and friends -- she had a huge and wonderful personality for such a small person. All of my Facebook messages from her always started -- 'Hey Cousin'....... she valued family and was loved by her family in return.
I think my favorite memory of Shirley is of her dancing (actually leading the rest of us in dancing) 'The Twist' at our Aunt Mint's birthday party many, many years ago.
You are loved and will be missed, Cousin!
