Shirley Ann Hawkins

Shirley Ann Hawkins, daughter of John Milton and China LaVerne Burke Walker, was born July 1, 1939, in Whittier, California and departed this life January 15, 2022, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years.
Shirley made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age and at the time of her passing had been a longtime, active and faithful member of Greenhills Freewill Baptist Church, where she attended faithfully, as long as her health allowed.
Shirley attended Kapp rural School and later Lebanon High School, graduating with the class of 1958. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed attending North family reunions and Capps School reunions. She was always on the go, traveling on the OATS bus to various shopping excursions and she also enjoyed attending gospel sings.
Shirley is survived by one daughter, Michelle Hawkins of Lebanon, MO; two grandchildren, Ryan Terry Hawkins Glassman and Danielle Faye Glassman; several cousins, including Robert and Amy Burke of Lebanon, MO; other relatives, church family and many friends.
Those preceding Shirley in death include her parents and two sisters in infancy, Mary Eleanor Walker and Georgie Mary Walker.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
