Shirley was my lifelong friend. She was my first friend and we met in the first grade. She was kind and funny and good in math. Perry Como was her favorite singer and we wrote letters every Saturday night of our youth to Perry gets letters hoping he would read ours he never did. I will miss her dearly. And I thank the Lord that she was my dear friend.

Shirley was my neighbor throughout our childhood and teenage years. We spent many hours together not only aa neighbors and classmates but also in numerous dance recitals. So many great memories. My sincere sympathy to her family.
