Shirley Mae Hill – age 83 of Luttrell, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 21, 1942, Shirley was the daughter of Clayton and Helen Chandler. Shirley was known for her sacrificial love, her kind heart, her love of Sunday dinners with family, her love of flowers and especially attending all sporting events through the years of her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the love and laughter she brought to all who knew her. "I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life." John 5:24
Shirley was a beloved wife of Carl Hill for 49 years, before his passing in 2007; also preceding her in death are parents, Clayton and Helen Chandler; and brother, Clayton Chandler, Jr. She leaves behind children, C. D. (Missy) Hill, Matthew Hill, Melanie (Wally) Lowry, Anthony (Patty) Hill and Cyndie (Mark) Webber; eleven grandchildren, Shannon, Leslie, Lake, Quinton, Jessica, Brittany, Devin, Kali, Dalton, Madison and Riley; twenty-one great grandchildren; and sisters, Juanita Whaley and Mary Troutman. The family wishes to thank Patriot Assisted Living in Oak Ridge and all her caregivers for their compassionate support and love.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 25, 2025 in the Trinity Funeral Home Chapel. The service to follow with Reverend Jason Dyer officiating with music provided by Jessica Cooke and Jason Dyer. Immediately following the service family and friends will proceed to Dyer Cemetery in Powder Springs for a graveside service. Serving as pallbearers, Riley Webber, Quinton Lowry, Lake Lowry, Dalton Hill, Shannon Hill and Devin Vaulton.
