Shirley A. Jones, age 60, of Xenia gained her wings on Monday February 02, 2026 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born December 23, 1965 in Dayton, Ohio, the daughter of Alan"Al" and Sharon (nee Martin) Schrier both of Ohio.
Shirley graduated Beavercreek High School in 1985.
She is survived by her mother, Sharon; her son, Craig (Lucy) Jones, her twin sister Sandra (nee Schrier)
Phillips; her brother, Brian (Melissa) Schrier, and her granddaughters, Morgan, Zoey, and Arianna
as well as many nephews, nieces, cousin's, great nephews and great-nieces.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jerry Norris Jones, her step-father, Alan "Al" Schrier, her father-in-law, Jerry D. Jones, and her beloved fur-babies Shadow, Summer, Tiny and Riley.
Shirley was a true fighting spirit, loved deeply and let you know when she was mad.
As an avid dog-mom, we hope she gets to rejoin her fur-babies.
Her family meant everything to her and she meant everything to them. She will be very missed.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Monday February 23, 2026 at 10:00 am with funeral service to follow at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Sugar Grove Cemetery next to her husband.
