St. John Funeral Home - BainbridgeShirley Anne Jorgensen Willson Page, age 90, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025.
A longtime resident of Bainbridge Township and Streetsboro, Shirley lived a full and generous life, guided by her love of people and laughter. Shirley always made sure everyone, including complete strangers, knew her age and that she lived a good life. Her secret to such a long life was to always keep laughing. She was a woman of many talents and hats; she was a teacher, a tap dancer, a knitter, a sewer, a baker, a mother, a wife, a grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Reed Willson, and grandson Chris Bryan.
Shirley is survived by husband Richard; her two sisters Betty Taylor and Linda Krebs; her favorite daughter Patricia Willson (Greg Marous); sons Robert Willson (Lisa), David Willson (Jessica), and Paul Willson (Suzanne); grandchildren Jeffrey Bryan, Jason Marous, Nicholas Willson, Zachary Willson, Hannah Willson, Grace Willson, Jordan Willson, Lindsay Willson, Austin Willson, and Samantha Willson; great grandchildren Carter Willson, Brooke Douglas, Bowie and Otis.
She held a master’s degree in education and dedicated much of her life to teaching school along with teaching crafting. Shirley found joy in entering the Geauga County Fair every year with her sewing and knitting projects and even won the Apple Pie contest one year. In the fall, she loved taking her handmade items to the local craft shows. She enjoyed living in Florida for half of the year alongside her beloved neighbors. One of her many hobbies was tap dancing, which she would go on to teach to pay for her college degree. She loved it so much, she had all 4 of her children also learn to tap dance. She would continue to go on tap dancing, with her last recital at age 65. Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren taking them to Bible School, Cleveland museums, the Cleveland Zoo, and Hale Farm. A favorite memory of hers was coloring Easter Eggs and decorating Christmas cookies with them.
There will be a Celebration of Shirley’s wonderful life on October 18th, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Bainbridge Community Church, 17751 Chillicothe Rd., Bainbridge Twp., OH. We will share food and memories of a woman who touched so many lives with her grace and laughter.
In lieu of flowers, we encourage you to honor Shirley’s legacy by being grateful and always laughing, as she would. This, we believe, would be the best way to celebrate and pay tribute to her extraordinary life.
The nightly ceremony in Washington, D.C. will be dedicated in honor of your loved one on the day of your choosing.
