Shirley Lewis Obituary
Mrs. Lewis was born on June 30, 1937 in Charlottesville, Virginia to the late Oscar Thomas Sours and the late Hattie Kauffman Sours. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Lewis and son, Robert T. Lewis.
Shirley was active in the community and served as past President of Windsor Forest Garden Club, past Oleander District Director, GCG Emeritus and member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She dedicated her life to family, friends and faith. She loved gardening and the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include her son, Michael Lewis along with sisters Carolyn Swiger of Nashville,TN, Gail Wyatt of Luray,VA, niece, Teresa Dodson of Luray,VA, brothers, Dwayne Sours, John Vernon Sours and Ernest Jackson Sours of Luray,VA as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (12391 Mercy Blvd, Savannah, GA 31419).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 12391 Mercy Blvd. and the Savannah Botanical Gardens, 1388 Eisenhower Dr.
