Shirley Melton Obituary
She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Doyle; brothers, Gene and Jimmy; sisters, Mildred, Nicki, Artie, and Francis; and grandson, Craig Allen. Shirley leaves behind to cherish her memories and carry her legacy her sons, Doyle Melton, Jr., James Edward Melton and his wife Christy; daughter, Sherri Valann and her husband John Cooper; sisters, Marion and Bobbie; brother, Robert; 12 grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Old Rock Baptist Church Cemetery in Somerset, where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Doyle.
