Shirley J. Moore, age 87, of West Union, Ohio, formerly from Northridge, Ohio, joined her loved ones in Heaven on April 21, 2024. She was born on December 27, 1936, to the late Ulyess & Mildred Thompson, the oldest of 7 children. She was a member of Union Chapel Community Church for more than 50 years, and she loved going there for worship. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was kind and generous, and she will be greatly missed. In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Moore; her children: Mickey Jenkins and Craig Moore; and her siblings: Dale Adkins, Sue Miller, and Bruce Thompson. She is survived by her children: Teddy James (Lee), Brian Jenkins, Eunice Griffith, Susan Jenkins, Jerry Moore and Donna Conley; siblings: Steven Thompson, Gale Blakley (Ralph) and Faye Mullins (David); special sister-in-law, Breezie Thompson; 14 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and another one on the way; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where the funeral service will begin at 7:00pm.
