Enter Into Life- June 30, 1952 Into Eternal Rest-November 15, 2025

Shirley Ann Jones-Moses was the youngest of five children, all which preceded her in death. Shirley was born to Shine and Joann Jones on June 30, 1952 in Shelbyville, Arkansas. At an early age her family moved to Missouri and later to California in 1967.

Shirley attended Markham Jr. High School, Jordan High School and graduated from Huntington Park High School. She earned a Bachelor of Art Degree from Chapman University in Organizational Leadership, in 2005. She retired for the State of California, June 2007 after 27 years service, and moved to San Antonio, TX. I'm writing this obituary! I have one more Degree, it's a B.A. as well, and it's the most important degree that anyone can ever have. I am a "Born Again Christian, and that's all that anyone needs to know.

Shirley is survived by her two children, her son Calvin of Hemet, CA; and her daughter, Daniellea of Corona, CA.; Eleven grandchildren, 2 in California and 4 in San Antonio; 2 in El Paso, TX, and 3 in Atlanta, GA; host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.

My Final Flight

I have heard the trumpets glorious sounds, I have come to the end of my journey, and I've traveled my last weary mile, just forget if you can, that I ever frowned and remember only the smile.

Forget any unkind words I have spoken; Remember some good I have done. Forget that I've stumbled and sometimes may have fell by the way. Remember I have fought some battles and won, at the close of the day.

To heaven I raise my voice in song, till next we gather, it won't be long. I would not have you sad for a day, but in remembrance of me, just gather together and remember I've gone on my way.

As you part from each other, here today, pray peace to be the human way. And in the cool of the evening when the sun paints the sky, please stand for few moments and think of me, and remember only the best.
