GROVE CITY – Shirley Ellen Muschweck, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted member of her church communities, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born on August 16, 1936, in East Liverpool, Ohio, Shirley was the cherished daughter of the late Robert W. and Ellen Wilson. A proud graduate of East Liverpool High School’s Class of 1954, she carried a lifelong appreciation for learning and faith.
Shirley was a devoted member of Oakland Free Methodist Church in East Liverpool and later attended Cypress Wesleyan Church in Galloway, Ohio, where she found comfort and fellowship.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Henry (Pete) A. Muschweck. Together, they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Shirley leaves behind her three children: Lynn Muschweck, David Muschweck, and Lisa Hamilton (Michael). She was a proud grandmother to Joshua Hamilton (Amanda) and Jenna Manning (Mack), with great anticipation for the arrival of her great-grandchild.
She will also be deeply missed by her brother, Terry Wilson (Faith), along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday morning at Newcomer Funeral Home in Grove City, where the family will receive guests from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, Tuesday, June 10, 2025. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jeff Moran, will follow immediately after.
Shirley will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery in East Liverpool, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army in East Liverpool in her honor, continuing her legacy of kindness and generosity.
