Shirley Faye Penfield, 88 of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on April 25, 1936 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Edgar Seth Edwin and Laura (Sanders) Peters.
Shirley grew up in the Henryetta area and graduated from Wilson High School in 1954. Shortly after graduation she married her high school sweetheart Lawrence Penfield on May 31, 1954. She enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the lake and she loved baking sugar cookies especially around the holidays.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lawrence Penfield, a daughter Pam Boston, sisters, Tiny Dudley and Donna Pharoah and a brother, Junior Peters.
She is survived by daughters, Brenda Holly of Glenpool, Oklahoma and Angela Marie Shaw and her husband Alan of Derby, Kansas and by her son, Steve Penfield and his wife Andrea of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; brothers, Eddie Peters and his wife Linda of Pretty Water, Oklahoma and Jimmie Peters of Stratford, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and family members.
Viewing for Shirley will be on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM with family present to receive friends from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM at Integrity Funeral Service.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Salt Creek Cemetery north of Henryetta on Wilson Road with Pastor Jimmy Harvey officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Bradan Toothman, Seth Penfield, Colton Toothman, Matthew Holly, Joshua Holly, Mikey Holly, Jeremiah Holly and Bryce Wilson.
