Shirley May Perry was born on January 24, 1947, in Acushnet, Massachusetts, and passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 78.
A funeral service for Shirley will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 2201 Airline Dr., Bossier City, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens in Mooringsport, Louisiana. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. before the service. Shirley was a longtime resident of Shreveport, Louisiana.
She was the daughter of Elsie Pittsley Sylvia and Nue P. Sylvia. Shirley was a long-time employee of Trac Work, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Shirley had a special love for her dogs and found joy in their companionship. Innocent-minded and warm-hearted, she had a natural gift for making everyone laugh and feel welcome. Her gentle spirit and kindness will never be forgotten.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Pittsley Sylvia and Nue P. Sylvia; her sister, Diana; her husband, Wayne Sherman; her soulmate, Barry Sherman; and her sons-in-law, Tim Bamburg and Michael Brunker, Sr.
She is survived by her four daughters, Robin Brunker, Lisa Bamburg, Tina Doolittle, and Chantel Hampton, and husband, Ty Hampton. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Tanya, Kimberly, Tammy, Mikee, Jason, Tiffany, Ryan, Brittany, Kevin, Caiden, and Blake; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kevin, Mikee, Jason, Calup, Caiden, and Blake. Honorary pallbearers will be Cody, Brandon, Cristian, Landon, Hunter, MeMan, Braylin, and Mikee Jr.
