Shirley Mack Pierce Sr. was born on September 9, 1942, in Henderson, Texas, to Richard Pierce and Earnie Mae Williams.

He spent his childhood years attending Star Bailey Public Schools. Following his education, Shirley Mack began his professional journey with Kenco, dedicating several years of service before transitioning to Harvey Earth Moving, where he eventually retired. He was a devoted member of St. John Baptist Church, serving both as a deacon and an usher.

Shirley Mack found joy in spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed attending football games and his favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys! Shirley Mack was well known for his love of playing cards, particularly tonk and spades, and playing dominoes. He was also known for his sense of humor and reputation as a jokester that brought laughter to those around him. He was rarely seen without his cup of coffee!

Shirley Mack was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Margaret Pierce; daughters, Latane Pierce and Rhonda Pierce; brothers Sammy Pierce, Ray Charles Flennoy, Thomas Williams, and Ezekiel Williams; and sisters Emma Pierce, Annie Earl Hall, Geneva Hall, Shirley Ann Williams, and Sarah Williams.

He is survived by a devoted family, including his sons Jason (Sophia) Pierce of Arlington, Texas; Rodney (Tonya) Pierce, Forrest (Beverly) Pierce, and Shirley Mack Pierce Jr., all of Longview, Texas. His legacy continues through his brothers Travis Williams, Robert Williams, Jay (Shanta) Williams, all of Kilgore, Texas, Ricky (Genia) Williams, and Billy Williams, all of Longview, Texas; sisters Dorothy Jo Williams of Longview, Texas, Jimmie Doris of Royse City, Texas, and Mary Nell Brannon.

His memory is cherished by 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will continue to keep his spirit alive.

Shirley Mack Pierce Sr. was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
