Mrs. Shirley Sylvia Propps

SHIRLEY SYLVIA RICHARDSON PROPPS OAK HILL – Shirley Sylvia Richardson Propps, 73, of Oak Hill, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born on December 3, 1935, at Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Loyd and Mary Lucy Richardson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Annette Elliott; two brothers, Lonnie Mitchell Richardson and Segard Richardson; one sister, Sondra Blankenship; and a stepson, Rick Dana Edwards. Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Randy Propps of Oak Hill; her children, Michael Stevens of Phoenix, AZ, Arlene Thomas of Princeston, WV, and Loyd Stevens of Marrieta, Ohio; stepdaughters, Eileen Bullock of Alpine, TX, and Elaine Greenawalt of Marion, Ohio; one stepson, Roger Edwards of Marion, Ohio; 24 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, December 28, 2008 at the Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home Chapel, Fayetteville, with Rev. Dorothy Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Rt. 1, Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the funeral home Sunday afternoon.
