Shirley Jean Pullen, 81, of Sikeston, Missouri, passed away at her home on November 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born June 15, 1944, in West Plains, Missouri, Shirley was the daughter of the late Martin Wesley George and Alice A. Spiller George. She moved with her family to Charleston, Missouri, as an infant and later made her home in Sikeston.

On February 19, 1965, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Jim Pullen. Together with Jerry and Loretta Pullen, they founded Pullen Brothers Trucking in Wyatt, Missouri, in the 1970s, later expanding the business to Sikeston in 1983.

Shirley devoted her life to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who found joy in caring for others. She was of the Baptist faith, a proud member of the Red Hat Society, and an avid traveler who loved the beach, and had a lifelong admiration for Elvis Presley. She spent many summers enjoying Kentucky Lake with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Regina George Bollerud; and her grandson, Kindle Lenderman-Pullen.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Pullen of Sikeston; one daughter, Shelly Buck (Keith) of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Jimmy Pullen (Sara) of Benton, Missouri; grandchildren, Heather Pullen (Grant Hinton) of Sikeston, Colton and Presley Williams of Springfield, Clayton and Mackenzie Williams of Sikeston, Cayden Williams (Shelby Page) of Sikeston, and Jackson and Autumn Miles of Cape Girardeau; great-grandchildren, Layken, Kenton, Kohen, and Wilder Williams; and siblings Belinda Housman, Martin George Jr., and Christie Arnold. She is also survived by many other loving family members and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shirley's dear friend and caregiver, Sharon Cates, for her compassionate care and friendship.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday November 8, 2025, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Missouri, with funeral services to follow at 12:00 p.m. Rev. Jennifer Moxley, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.

Graveside burial will follow at Odd Fellows (IOOF) Cemetery in Charleston, Missouri.

Pallbearers will be Colton Williams, Clayton Williams, Cayden Williams, Jackson Miles, Matt Kidd, and Michael Arnold.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
