Shirley Riley Obituary
She married Billy D. Riley on May 21, 1960, at the Sherburnville Christian Church in Grant Park, IL. He survives.
She is survived by her husband, Billy D. Riley of Grant Park, IL. Two daughters and sons-in-law; Sandy and Joe Mitchell of Momence, IL and Debbie and Kevin Mussman of Grant Park, IL. Her two brothers; Roger Schneider of Grant Park, IL, and Glen Schneider of Grant Park, IL. Her sister-in-law; Judy Schneider also of Grant Park, IL. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Jason Mitchell, Kaitlyn (Lawrence) Coleman, Christopher (Lisa) Mussman, Jennifer (Steve) Radostits, and Jeffrey (Stephanie) Mussman, and nine great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, twin sister; Sharon Carlin and sister; Opal Phillips, her brother; Dean Schneider, and sisters-in-law; Jalene Schneider and Lynne Schneider, and two brothers-in-law; James Phillips and Richard Carlin.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Whitaker Grain Elevator and as a supervisor at the Michael-Leonard Seed Company.
She was a member of the St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Grant Park, IL.
Shirley enjoyed fishing and camping, as well as bowling. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Will be held from 4:00PM-7:00PM on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Cotter Funeral Home in Momence, IL. An additional visitation will be held from 10:00AM-11:00AM on Thursday, July 24, 2024, at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Grant Park, IL.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 24, 2024, at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Grant Park, IL. Rev. Doug Zimmerman will officiate.
Interment will be held at the Huesing Cemetery in Grant Park, IL.
Memorials may be made towards the St. Peter's United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.
