Shirley D. Robinson, 90, originally of Cardington, Ohio, passed on to eternal rest Sunday, February 22 in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert E. Robinson.
Shirley was born March 12, 1935 to Mildred (Smiley) Fawble and Gerald Fawble of Cardington. She graduated from Cardington High School in 1953.
In her life Shirley was active in Cardington Methodist Church, The American Legion Auxiliary, Pythian Sisters, and F Street Neighborhood Church. She retired as head of the Cardington Public Library in 2002.
A Memorial Service will be held at F Street Neighborhood Church in Lincoln at 3 p.m. on Saturday, February 28th. There will be a viewing at Butherus, Maser, and Love Funeral Home from Noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 1st. Funeral Services for Shirley will be held at Gompf Funeral Services in Cardington, Ohio at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7.
