Shirley Shealy Schumpert, 81, of Leesville, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025. Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Melton and Myrtle Warren Shealy. She was married to the late Richard Henry Schumpert. Mrs. Schumpert was a devoted member of Concord Baptist Church, where she faithfully served and dearly loved her church family. She was a proud Carolina Gamecock fan and, above all, cherished her Lord and her family.
Surviving are her son, Danny Schumpert; grandchildren, Masson Schumpert and Connor Schumpert; and her sister, Brenda Stalvey (C.W.). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Schumpert; and brothers, Bobby and Larry Shealy.
The funeral service for Mrs. Schumpert will be held at 11 o’clock on Saturday, October 4th, at Concord Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Rev. Mark Leonard will officiate. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 o’clock on Friday, October 3rd, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Jamie Enlow, Marty Schumpert, Dylan Williams, Tyler Richardson, Blake Schumpert, Mickey Stalvey, and David Shealy.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the members of Concord Baptist Church for the love and care they showed to Mrs. Schumpert.
