Mrs. Ann Shirley, age 81, a resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Points officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Unity in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on March 12, 1944, in Nashville, Tennessee, Ann was the daughter of the late George Cobb and the late Effie Mae Butt Cobb. Ann began her career as a relator in 1980 and worked for several real estate companies including, Century 21, Gene Lynch in Nashville, TN, First Reality in Nashville, TN, and Coldwell Bankers Barnes in Nashville, TN. Ann had many hobbies, fishing, cooking, and shopping, she would plan shopping adventures, and had the largest collection of shoes, clothes, and purses. She enjoyed spending time on the water, she often visited Cuba Landing, taking trips to the beach, and enjoying a good book poolside. She loved the holidays and spending time with her family. Ann moved to Columbia in 2020 and was a member of Maury Hills Church, she loved her Tuesday morning ladies Bible study and spending time with her church family. Loved spending time with her Bunko’s ladies. Ann was known for sending every family member cards on the holidays. Ann was known for her servants’ heart and love, she will be missed tremendously by all of those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Shirley, daughters, Kim (Ron) Morgan, Connie (Darrell) Lange, grandchildren, Brandon Pritchard, Katie Stone, Joshua Hooper, Jazmin Karolyi, Kayla Lange, great grandchildren, Ben, Sydney, Mia, Charlotte Ann, Noah, Magnolia, and Ella Rose.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Woody, Mary Edwards, and Debbie Sullivan.
Serving as pallbearers, Brandon Pritchard, Hayden Stone, Ron Morgan, Darrell Lange, Rick Shirley, and Johnny Shirley.
