Shirley Simpson

Shirley was so kind, so attentive, even to people with whom she had no prior exposure-like me. She would arrive to visit her husband, and invariably initiate spirited conversation, even banter! Without exception, Shirley left me happier than she found me. I am indebted to the wonderful lady. So humble! Sometimes I would slip and address her as 'Mrs. Simpson' at which point she would interrupt me and say 'Shirley'. I'll always remember 'Shirley'.
