Shirley Virginia Smith, 85, of North Little Rock passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. She was born May 17, 1938 to Charles White and Mary Teresa Campbell.
Shirley worked at ARORA for many years as an accountant, then left to help run the accounting side of the family’s business, Dean’s Coffee Service, until she retired. She had many hobbies including gardening, reading, and renovating her houses.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Harold Smith, Sr; her parents; daughter, Vicki Smith; brothers, Donald, Lon, and Jim Campbell; sisters, Bea Campbell, Dorothy Watson, Joyce Chandler, Mildred Crenshaw-Williams, and Hope Martin.
Shirley is survived by her son, H. Dean Smith, Jr. (Brenda) of Little Rock; granddaughters, Nicole Ludwig (Kale) of Little Rock, Brittany Smith of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, Winn and K. Louis Ludwig, Jr.; sister, Darlene Brown of Little Rock; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who love and miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home. Visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. and the service directly following at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
