Our dear Mother and Grandmother, Shirley Adele (Roseinski) Stafford passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 90 following a long battle with metastatic breast cancer.
She was born at home on March 12, 1935, in Chicopee, MA to the late Stanley and Anna (Krystniak) Roseinski.
Shirley was a fearless, kind, hardworking and loving person. She spent several decades running a daycare center in her home, where she built lasting relationships with the families and children she cared for, as well as her grandchildren. She spent many of her retirement years volunteering at various charities including St. Joseph's Church. She enjoyed traveling and has visited all fifty states as well as a few countries in Europe. She deeply loved her family and friends and supported them unconditionally.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, son Wayne, grandson "Bake" and son-in-law Henry. Additionally, she was predeceased by all eleven of her Roseinski siblings.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Wagner, Lois Baker, Lisa (Tim) Davis, and daughter-in-law Mary Stafford, eight grandchildren, Tim (Angie) Wagner, Dan (Jen) Wagner, Kris (Christian) Grill, Kelly (Rick) Franklin, Dave Davis, Joseph (Mallory) Baker, Bill (Melissa) Stafford and Pete Davis as well as fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held at Daniels & Hutchison, 212 N. Broad St. on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 10-11 am. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am at St. Joseph Parish, 371 E. Main St., Middletown, DE. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Middletown.
