Shirley Marie Thomas

Shirley Marie Thomas of Plymouth passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026. She was 76 years old.

Born in Plymouth on January 11, 1950, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward Thomas and Hilda (Valente) Thomas- Pollard. Shirley was raised and educated in Plymouth and was a proud graduate of Plymouth–Carver High School.

Shirley dedicated more than 30 years of her life to Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, where she worked faithfully in the Housekeeping Department. She took great pride in her work and in being part of a team that cared for others. Her strong work ethic, quiet kindness, and familiar presence left a lasting impression on colleagues and all who knew her.

Shirley will be remembered for her gentle spirit and her deep connection to her hometown of Plymouth. She cherished her family and the simple joys of everyday life.

She is survived by her loving brother, Paul Thomas of Las Vegas, and her niece, Sarah Thomas of Plymouth. She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Thomas.

Visiting hours will be held at the Cartmell-Davis Life Celebration Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, North Plymouth, on Saturday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 313 Court Street, North Plymouth. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Plymouth.
