Shirley Tobias

1929 - 2021

FLETCHER - Shirley M. Tobias, 92, formerly of Fletcher, more recently of Piqua, passed away quietly at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Brookdale of Piqua. She was born May 17, 1929 in Troy to the late William and Dorothy (Pence) Woods. She married Harold R. Tobias March 20, 1951; he preceded her in death October 29, 2019.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan (Mark) Lambert of Piqua; two sons, Don (Tina Thomason) Tobias of New Carlisle, Dave (Vikki) Tobias of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Hannah (Justin) Coe, Doug Lambert, Macy Lambert; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, James Woods, William "Bud" Woods, Samuel Woods and Virginia Miller.

Mrs. Tobias was a graduate of Brown Township School and worked as a Secretary for Rayner Electric Company. She, along with the love of her life Harold, farmed their third generation farm near Fletcher for many years. She will be deeply missed by her loving family.

A private service for her family to honor her life will be at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. Edward Sollenberger officiating. Burial will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington.
