Her husband, Lewis Tuttle Sr., was the love of her life and her reason for living. They were married 67 years and 4 months to the day. She adored him as much at the end of her life as she did the day they married on May 24, 1956. He was her best friend and one true love. Their love story will always remind us all of what true love really is.
Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker. Her family was the most important part of her life. Over the years she had many special interests such as camping, traveling, singing, and music. In her younger years she played the mandolin and drums. Shirley loved to play music with her husband and friends. Her passion for country and western music continued throughout her life. Her favorites were Merle Haggard and the Malpass Brothers. The love and companionship of her precious dog, Rufus, meant the world to her. He was a great comfort to her to the end. Shirley loved her farm animals, birds, and flowers. The love she had for her pets that have since passed away was never forgotten.
Our memories of our country Christmas's at her farm will forever live on in our minds and hearts. She made them so special and magical. The loss of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and sister will forever be a huge void in our hearts and lives. Everything centered around you and our love for you momma.
Her last days were spent in the loving embrace of all the people she dearly loved. It brought her so much joy to be able to be together and see each and every one of them. Until we meet again, sleep with the angels, momma. We will forever love and adore you.
No services will be held at this time.
