Shirley Walker

Shirley Ann Walker, 87, Harrodsburg, KY, died Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at her home. Born March 9, 1935, in Mercer Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Martin Edward and Hazel (Edwards) Walker Jr..
Shirley was a retired U.S. Air Force Major, a retired Registered Nurse for the V. A. Hospital, and was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Jane McAfee Chapter of the DAR, the Order of the Eastern Star #309, past member and President of the Civitan, Lexington, KY, and past member of the Reserve Officers Association.
Survivors include: a niece, Cindy Walker of Harrodsburg; two nephews, Marty (Cathy Carter) Walker and Ron Walker, both of Harrodsburg; four great nieces and nephews, Leigh Ann (Josh) Cromer, Wesley (Misty Hall) Brummett, Amy (David Brown) Brummett, Lakyn Walker and Jordan Walker; five great great nieces and nephews, Shea Brummett, Gracey Cromer, Samuel Cromer, Talyn Brummett, and David Westyn Brown; great great great niece, Aimiyah, and great great great nephew, Malachi. She was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Edward "Buddy" Walker, and a niece, Kathy Walker.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be 11:30 AM, Tues., June 14, 2022, at the Spring Hill Cemetery, by John Hockersmith III. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM, Tuesday, at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, KY.
