Shirley Warren, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8th, 2025. For 33 years, Shirley faithfully served as a school bus driver, dedicating her life to the children and families in her community. Her mornings began with smiles and laughter as she greeted the kids on her route, watching them grow up was one of her greatest joys. To many, Shirley was more than just a driver, she was a helping hand, a listening ear, and a source of warmth and kindness to all who crossed her path. Shirley's life revolved around her family and the people she loved. Her love language was acts of care. Whether that meant showing up when someone needed her, putting others before herself, or creating moments of joy for those around her. She was truly selfless, always giving without expecting anything in return. When she wasn't on the road or caring for others, Shirley loved tending to her flowers, eagerly awaiting their blooms each spring. She found joy in simple pleasures, listening to country music, celebrating Christmas with her family, and taking her loved ones out for their annual holiday shopping trips. Her faith in Jesus was strong and steady, guiding her through life's ups and downs with grace and love. Shirley loved deeply and wholeheartedly. Her kindness, laughter, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She was, and will always be remembered as, one of the sweetest women around. She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Sally Rogers, her husband, Charles Warren, her daughters, Gail Crawford, Rhonda Oliver, Tammy Starr Rowland, her siblings, Richard Rogers, Alton Rogers, Robbie Pickerting, Bea Powell. Shirley is survived by her sons, Douglas Garner and Charley Rowland Jr., her 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
A celebration of Shirley's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 10am at Maley Yarbrough Funeral Home. Visitation will take place prior to the service from 9am to 10am. Burial will follow at Munford Cemetery.
