Shirli B. Sulser, 71, beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early hours on December 25, 2024. Preceded in death by infant son David Ray Sulser, Mother Shirley Jean Lapin and Father Ewell Earl Freasier, Sr.
Shirli was born in Los Angeles, CA on April 13, 1953. She attended Leuzinger High School, where she graduated and met David Sulser the love of her life. She dedicated her life to Jesus that summer at a small Baptist church in Oklahoma. Shirli and David married May 1, 1971, and together they grew their family and their love of Jesus for the next 54 years.
Shirli began her lifelong devotion to serving 43 years in Children's Ministry at Del Aire Assembly of God. The Village Church, Lewisville TX, Lakewood Life Center, Hope Chapel Hermosa Beach, King's Harbor Church, Redondo Beach and River City Community Church Selma TX.
She participated in Royal Family Kids Camp for over 20 years and was responsible for bringing RFKC to King's Harbor Church growing the number of foster children that would get to experience the unconditional love of Jesus through camp.
Shirli was a gifted song writer and loved to sing in the choir, on the worship teams and in the Right Direction band.
Shirli was a gifted Seamstress, Crafter and Cook. She would share this gift by sewing clothes, costumes, fancy dresses, blankets, pillows, stuffed animals for family, friends and others throughout her life.
Shirli had the ability to face hardships and pain because of her unwavering love for Christ. Her infectious laughter could brighten a room and bring joy to those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband David; Daughter Michelle Shelley (Phil); Son Matthew Sulser (Megan); Grandchildren Skyler & Lily Shelley; Brother Ewell Freasier (Marie); Special Friends Wesley and Tina Gooch.
Shirli's celebration of life will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 2:00 pm CST 2217 FM3009, Schertz, TX 78154. It will be streamed online as well.
