Shonna Lynn King

 

Shonna Lynn King, age 54, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at her residence.

 

Shonna was born March 16, 1970 in Appling County to the late Willie Williamson and the late Juna Faye Long Williamson. She was a member of Christ Community Church and was a homemaker and owner of Southern Ground Contracting. Shonna’s devotion to her family was unwavering. She was a loving wife, mother, and mimi. Shonna was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice King, and a brother, George Allen Williamson.

 

Survivors include her husband of forty years, Mark Leon “Lee” King, III of Baxley; daughter, Shannon Leighann King of Baxley; son, Mark Leon “Mark” King, IV (Robin) and Joshua Caleb King (Megan) both of Baxley; sisters, Kim (Jeff) Horton and Cindy Williamson both of Baxley; brother, David Allen Williamson of Baxley; and a special family member, Del Burns of Baxley; and nine grandchildren, Alexis Jade King, Levi Ryder King, Hadlee Oneal King, Georgia Grace King, Jackson Parker King, Colton Disharoon, Clayton Disharoon, Cammi Disharoon, and Emma Grace McEachin; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.

 

A graveside service will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Gary Conger officiating.
