Sidney Swanson Boyd, 94, of Belton, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026. He was born on October 15, 1931, in Ararat, Virginia, to Dennis Boyd and Ingle Boyd.
Sidney earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering and worked as an engineer throughout his career. He was a skilled welder and woodworker who never stopped learning. Even in his later years, he enjoyed studying engineering tutorials on YouTube. He loved farming, working with his hands, and attending auctions. Sidney could often be found working crossword puzzles, playing scratch-offs, and enjoying simple pleasures like pickled okra and Beets.
Above all, he loved his family beyond measure.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Boyd and Ingle Boyd; his spouse, Ferlich Boyd; his brother, Stanley Boyd; and his sister, Princess Boyd.
Sidney is survived by his sister, Shirleen Haas; his sons, Kamaka Cook and Victor Wallace; his daughters, Chantelle Cook and Ukima Wallace; a host of grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.
