LIFE Story......

SIDNEY LATODD BRENT was born on February 28, 1968, in Dallas, Texas, to Ronald Brent and Mary Brent-Stenson. He was educated in the Dallas Independent School District and furthered his education at Dallas County Community College.

HE married the love of his life, Ericka Clay on October 22, 1995.

SIDNEY later attended Stevens Truck Driving Academy, where he earned his commercial driver's license.

SIDNEY began his career as a truck driver for Texas Mail, a contractor for the United States Postal Service, and later became an entrepreneur, founding Just Brothers Trucking, LLC, with his beloved wife, Ericka. Sidney's had a passion for serving children in need. Sidney and Ericka opened their home as foster parents, caring for over 20 children over the years.

SIDNEY transitioned from this life in the early morning of December 26, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family.

SURVIVED by his devoted wife of 30 years, Ericka Brent of Dallas, Texas; his children, Samuel, Mary, Elyzabeth Brent of Dallas and Dwayne Powell; his godchildren, Davantl Chatman, Alexander Johnson, Ava Johnson, his sisters, Shannon Brent and Ursula Brent and his brothers, Steven Brent and Ronaldus Brent of Dallas; mother-in-law, Johnnie Mae Johnson of Dallas; sisterin-law, Ramona Kennard of Dallas; brother-in-law and his wife, Manzy Clay and Joyce of Atlanta. Sidney is also remembered by a host of family and friends.

HE was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Brent-Stenson, and his father, Ronald Brent.

SIDNEY'S legacy of love, generosity, and dedication lives on in all who knew him.
