Sidney Ellis

My sincere condolences on the passing of Mrs. Sidney R. Ellis. Mrs. Ellis was an inspiration to many in the Cherry Hill Community. As a student at Cherry Hill Elementary School PS #159 in the 1980s, she spoke to my third grade class. I can still hear her words to this day. Mrs. Ellis instructed us that we could reach our full potential by studying hard and always striving to showcase our best selves. She is one of the reason I choose a career in helping others and my love of history. I´m saddened to hear that she has left this earthly realm, but her indelible mark still reverberates through many generations from the Cherry Hill community. I pray peace be upon your family as you celebrate her life and legacy.

Sidney and I were co-workers at Baltimore City Department of Social Services. I enjoyed her friendship and the personality she displayed. My condolences to her daughter and family members. We all will continue to have fond memories of Sidney.
