Sidney "Sonny" Kaplan

KAPLAN, Sidney "Sonny" died on September 14, 2024 at the age of 95 in Sudbury, formerly of the West End of Boston and Brookline. Beloved husband of the late Patricia (Reinherz) Kaplan for 60 years. Loving father of Steven Kaplan of Framingham and Scott Kaplan and his wife Judith of Cohasset. Adoring "Papa" of Kyle, Seth, Lucas Kaplan and Maris Kaplan. Devoted brother of Esther Feldman of Fort Myers, Florida and the late Alice Rosenthal, Etta Swiecicki, Benny Kaplan and Sylvia Kramer. Devoted uncle to several nieces and nephews and the loving son of the late Sadie and Michael Kaplan.
Sonny loved his family, sports, summering in Hull and was a proud resident of the former West End community of Boston. He served in the United States Coast Guard from 1951 to 1953. After an honorable discharge, he worked as a salesman for Jack Lane's clothing store and then for several decades was an account and managerial executive for industrial and commercial cleaning companies.
