Simon Everett Obituary
Buck was born in McCrory, Arkansas, on December 8, 1943, to John and Lucille Pohnka Everett. He retired as an AG Pilot and also flew helicopters. As a certified pilot instructor, he enjoyed mentoring new AG Pilots. Buck was a lifetime member of the NAAA and belonged to the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum in Jackson, Mississippi. Buck was an avid reader, enjoying authors like Stephen King, John Grisham, and many others. Friends and family often called him a "backyard engineer" because he loved welding, building things out of metal, and snow skiing.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Patsy" G. Everett, daughter, Kelly Gauntt of Texarkana, Arkansas, brother John Coleman Everett and wife Beth, Prairie Grove, Phillip Scott Everett of Wynne, sister, Vonda Ann Milner of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, grandchildren, Dustin Buck Rogers, Matthew Seth Gauntt, and great grandchildren, Rett Rogers and Addy Gauntt. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Everett.
Visitation will be held on December 18, 2025, at Kernodle Funeral Home, from 5 to 7 PM. Funeral services will be on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2 PM at Kernodle Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Cross County Library, 410 Merriman Avenue West, Wynne, Arkansas 72396.
