I just saw Simon playing in NEW TRICKS and said to my wife "oh that's Simon McCorkindale, I was at school with him!" so I looked him up to find out what year that show was filmed and got a massive shock when Google threw up "Simon McCorkindale funeral" and thus I ended up here. Some amazing acknowledgments to a man we all respected, handsome and older than his years. Although terribly late to record my tribute to you Simon, the fact that I left the UK in 1995, probably excuses me my ignorance. Rest in Peace. Simon Lyon Colvin 67

Simon, we were at Haileybury College together in your final year there, and although you were in a different house to mine and 5 years older, you were an inspiration to younger boys with your confidence, oration and warmth. Now ourselves in late middle age, we honour your wonderful life

I met Simon 26 years ago. My nine year old daughter had a serious crush on him, so a friend who knew Simon invited us to join them one afternoon when he was visiting. He was so very sweet to my daughter. His kindness was genuine and his patience seemed to be limitless. We took photos - after Simon fixed our camera! We had a great afternoon with this remarkable man. (My daughter is 35 now and still has the photo he signed for her.) Goodbye, Simon. See you next time around.

In continued tribute to Simon,i felt Manimal which he starred in was an absolutely terrific show,should have given much more kudos,on every level,all the actors gelled really well..i was gutted when it ended prematurely...Simon is special and will always be remembered as a wonderful actor and human being RIP X

What courage Mr. MacCorkindale showed during his last years. Last saw him in Oct. of 2008 in the "Sound of Music" at the London Palladium. He added so much to that grand production. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and friends. He will be much missed by those who knew him and enjoyed his work.

Enjoyed Mr. Mccorkindale in Manimal don't watch soaps. He was handsome and gave a gentle confidance to the role which made it fun.

Such a great loss - he was one of my favorites - I especially enjoyed the TV series "Counterstrike" where he play Peter Sinclair alongside Christopher Plummer. I watch every re-run I can find. Now I will especially treasure them. What a great loss.

I had the worst crush on Simon; he was my favorite person on Falcon Crest. I wish I could buy a copy of the Sound of Music that he performed in two years ago. I'll bet it was wonderful!! My sympathies to his wife and family.

I enjoyed watching Simon in his various movie and television roles, especially in the movie "Death on the Nile." His star will now burn brightly in the night sky as it did on the theater marquee.
