Simone M. Augustin

Simone M. Augustin, 70, of Brooklyn, NY, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the home of her son, Andre.

Born April 28, 1955, in Curacao and raised in St. Lucia, she was the daughter of the late Simeon and Saluta (Du Boulay) Alfred.

She and her husband, Augustus "Angus" Augustin, Sr., celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary on December 31, 2025.

Simone was employed as a home health aide where she loved caring for the elderly and disabled.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Simone was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Brooklyn, and its prayer group. Previously, she was a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church, Brooklyn, where she had served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Surviving in addition to her devoted husband, Angus, are three sons, Andre Alfred and his wife Vanessa, of Forks Township, Augustus Augustin, Jr. and his wife Yasharae, of Newburgh, NY and Kelvin Augustin, of Brooklyn, NY; seven grandchildren, Jabari, Abigail, Jeremiah, Jada, Aiden, Christopher and Zuri; a brother, Joseph "Webster" Du Boulay, and a sister, Sandra Hall and her husband Cuthbert, both of Bronx, NY; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Finisterre and Antimus Alfred.

Services will be held at 10:30am Monday, February 23rd in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Monday 9:30-10:30am in the funeral home. Interment will be in Forks Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
