Simone T. Cote, 102, of Ocala, FL passed away Saturday, January 24, 2026 at home.
She lived a truly wonderful life, spanning 102 beautiful years, filled with joy, love, and meaningful connections. Known for her joyful spirit and gentle presence, she was deeply loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing her. She dedicated her working life as a bookkeeper, a role that reflected her diligence and care. She was born in Lawrence, MA and moved to Ocala in the 80’s to be with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mervyn Cote who passed 47 years ago, and by her son Dennis Cote, who was married to Lynn Cote. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Connie Gove, Phillip Morneault, and Roger Morneault.
She is survived by her three children: Rhae Hill, married to Jim Hill; Glenn Cote, married to Maria Cote; and her late son Dennis Cote. She was the proud grandmother of five granddaughters: Krissy, married to Kelly Meadows; Jennifer, married to Mike Cutuli; Angela Cote-Pascoe, married to Jay Pascoe; Sara Cote; and Melinda Washington. Her legacy continues through her 10 great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, married to Cody Fenton; Kyle Meadows; Olivia Cutuli; Sophia Cutuli; Mariah Milliard, married to Joseph Milliard; Haleigh, married to Troy Wolcott; Trevor Miguel-Cote; Keira Eve Cote; Kaelin Washington; and Kaila Washington. She was also blessed with two great-great-granddaughters, Madilyn Rae Fenton and Rylee Jennifer Milliard.
Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and quiet strength. She will be remembered for her joyful heart and the deep love she had for her family—a love that will carry on for generations.
